VOTE Tuesday, May 4 for
David N. Patariu
Residents asked me to run this year because they felt their voices were not being heard by Vienna's Town Council.
My platform is focused on YOU, and when elected to Town Council with YOUR support I will advocate for:
1. PANDEMIC RELIEF: fight for recovery efforts to be directed to those residents and small businesses that have suffered the most during the pandemic;
2. SAFER STREETS: prioritize construction of sidewalks and spending the 8-million-dollar Robinson bequest (former Town councilmember) to the town for sidewalks—don’t just give it back; appreciate Maple Avenue is at its max capacity and has been for more than ten years, and prevent harm to the livability of our neighborhoods from cut-through traffic avoiding Maple Avenue;
3. THOUGHTFUL PLANNING: make certain the rewrite of our residential and commercial zoning code does not give away what makes Vienna special;
4. PRIORITIZE PARKS: restore Beulah Road Park and build more parks, greenspaces, and sports fields;
5. STOP WATER BILL INCREASES: with more people working from home during the pandemic, our residents have been hit hard with usage and rate increases. Residents need immediate relief from water and sewer rate increases.

According to the Fairfax County Office of Elections: - March 19, early voting begins on in Suite 323 of the Fairfax County Government Center, M-F: 8-4:30 p.m., and Saturdays: April 24 and May 1: 9-5:00 p.m. Any registered voter can voter early in-person. - April 12 at 5:00 pm in person, 11:59 p.m. online, is the voter registration deadline - April 23 at 5:00 p.m. is the deadline to request an absentee ballot by phone, mail or fax
